Info
The goal of this project was to design a fictional airline website based on thorough benchmarking and usability research with real users. The aim was to create an intuitive and delightful booking experience by analyzing competitor strengths and weaknesses and conducting user testing with real flight-booking scenarios.
Key Pain POints
Travelers using airline websites face overwhelming clutter, unclear fare options, hidden baggage policies, and distracting promotions—making simple tasks unnecessarily stressful and prone to error
THE MISSION
LunAir aims to deliver a seamless booking experience, guiding every traveler with transparency and ease from search to confirmation.
Research
industry research
Thorough industry research revealed that even popular airline sites overwhelm users with clutter and confusing fare rules, sparking my resolve to create a booking flow that surfaces only what travelers really need.

Goals and Behaviors
Users prioritized finding the cheapest flight, viewing all options in one location, comparing fares, intuitively entering dates, and seeing clear extras/services information at every step
Behaviors included quickly scanning pages, using calendars for date selection
Solution
The design solution creates a clear and confidence-building booking journey by centralizing search, simplifying flight and fare selection with side‑by‑side comparisons, keeping prices and extras transparent at every step, and using streamlined forms with bold, consistent actions so travelers never have to guess what to do next
Seat selection & Extras
A persistent price summary and minimal use of pop-ups ensure travelers see the true trip cost as they go, which builds trust and prevents last‑minute confusion. Forms and primary buttons were simplified and made visually distinct to reduce friction at checkout, in line with best practices for booking and checkout UX
